Cordovan is this week in Trinidad & Tobago managing the official blog for the People's Forum ahead of next week's Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. This is the second time the British Council has commission Cordovan to set up and manage the blog and to train its local team of bloggers (http://peoplesforum.britishcouncil.org/). Cordovan proposed the original People's Forum blog in 2007 for the same event in Uganda. This year the People's Forum is debating and highlighting environment issues such as climate change and gender, democracy and governance, the impact of the economic crisis, human rights and creativity and innovation.
The Commonwealth consists of 53 independent member nations from across the world. Their heads of government meet every two years to explore a number of current issues and challenges facing their peoples and the wider world.
On site in Trinidad and under contract with Cordovan is Matt O'Neill. Formerly with Cordovan in the UK, Matt now runs his own communications business.
